Privacy Policy for ClipMaster

ClipMaster operates entirely locally on your device with complete privacy:

• Local Storage: All data, including your clipboard snippets, images, pins, and custom settings, is saved exclusively on your local computer via Chrome's secure chrome.storage.local API with unlimitedStorage support.
• Offline Preservation: Images saved as Data URLs are converted into local SVG or Base64 data and kept offline on your machine.

We do not collect, monitor, track, or transmit any of your personal data or clipboard contents.

• No Remote Servers: ClipMaster does not operate any analytics servers, tracking databases, or external telemetry endpoints.
• No Third Parties: Your copied items are never shared, sold, or accessible to third parties or the developer.
• Complete Ownership: You retain full ownership and control over your clipboard history. Data can be exported to or imported from local JSON backup files at any time.

ClipMaster requests minimal permissions required strictly for core offline features:

• storage & unlimitedStorage: Saves clipboard history, pins, and preferences locally without quota restrictions.
• clipboardRead: Enables the user to read and save clipboard data on demand.
• notifications: Displays an optional brief desktop notification when an item or image is saved.
• offscreen: Safely manages background clipboard read/write fallbacks in compliance with Manifest V3 service workers.
• contextMenus: Provides convenient right-click options ("Add selection to ClipMaster", "Add image to ClipMaster", "Open ClipMaster").
• scripting & activeTab: Injects the floating clipboard UI into the current active web tab when toggled by the user.
